Here's a powerful article in the NYTimes on the plastic gyre in the Pacific Ocean and the efforts to understand the trash that we have dumped in the ocean (and the chemicals that are now leaching into the water, being consumed by the fish, and then returning to us in our seafood. http://snipurl.com/tib3k
